Schwarzwald door Wouter Kotte, uitgegeven door De Schutting Pers in 1979, is een bundel gedichten die de parallellen tussen denken en uitbeelden onderzoekt. Deze eerste editie, met een formaat van 14 cm x 20,5 cm, bestaat uit 27 pagina’s en is uitgevoerd als een genaaide softcover. Het boek bevat handtekening en opdracht van de auteur.
Wouter Kotte (Arnhem, 30 december 1933 – Düsseldorf, 8 december 1998) was een Nederlands dichter en museumdirecteur, bekend als publicist en als directeur van het Museum Hedendaagse Kunst-Utrecht. Zijn vroege poëzie werd gepubliceerd in Arnhem, waar hij de relatie tussen gedachte en beeld thematiseerde. Naast zijn gedichten maakte Kotte beeldende collages en werken in gemengde techniek op papier. Na zijn pensionering verhuisde hij naar Düsseldorf, waar hij zich volledig richtte op het schrijven van poëzie, voortaan in het Duits.

This first edition, measuring 14 cm x 20.5 cm, consists of 27 pages and is presented as a sewn softcover. The book includes the author’s signature and a dedication.
Wouter Kotte (Arnhem, December 30, 1933 – Düsseldorf, December 8, 1998) was a Dutch poet and museum director, known as a publicist and as the director of the Museum of Contemporary Art-Utrecht. His early poetry was published in Arnhem, where he focused on the relationship between thought and image. In addition to his poems, Kotte created visual collages and mixed media works on paper. After his retirement, he moved to Düsseldorf, where he fully concentrated on writing poetry, from then on in German.
